Matt (Mateusz) Faltyn is a Director of Trilemma Foundation. Previously, he served as the Head of Blockchain Research at Aquanow and conducted technical due diligence at AQN Digital. Matt holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and an Honours Bachelor’s in Arts & Science and Mathematics from McMaster University. He was a Bioinformatics PhD student at UBC, focusing on forecasting brain tumor progression with machine learning, and earned prestigious awards including the 2024 Vanier Scholarship. With over $350k in awards and 3,000 citations, Matt ranked among the top 1% of PhD students in Canada.

Co-Founder & Director

Mohammad Ashkani is Co-Founder of Trilemma Foundation and Hypertrial, leading performance-based datathons with reach across 80+ universities. He mentors 50+ STEM graduate students through capstones and practicums and has onboarded Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR) as co-host of Trilemma’s Bitcoin analytics tournament while building partnerships with top STEM programs. An alumnus of the University of British Columbia in Economics and Mathematics, he brings over seven years of experience in machine learning and blockchain, including roles as Blockchain Researcher and Corporate Strategy Analyst at Aquanow.
